CUSTOMER QUESTION: Yesterday I installed the ET204 kit, but it does not work. The display is black. If I put +6-28V on the red wire, ground on the black wire and connect the four probes I assumed the the instrument should work. Is it defective? TECH SUPPORT ANSWER: No, the instrument will not work based on the connections you have stated. You MUST connect the intensity control as well (See document # S200-DDC-INST as included with your documentation). Please ensure that things are wired up in the correct way, either "Fixed" or "Variable" Intensity - depending on what you have with your kit. The instrument backlight is powered from a separate power source to that of the instrument. If it is not connected the display will remain black. |
